At Enginediyshop, we believe the best miniature engines are more than just display pieces.

That’s why we’re currently exploring two new miniature gasoline engines — B09 and B04.
Both are inspired by classic American engine designs, but they offer very different experiences.

Meet the Two Candidates
B09 — Build It. Tune It. Run It.
The B09 is a vertical single-cylinder four-stroke engine inspired by the classic Thompson-style engine.
Its design puts the mechanics on display.
With an open-frame structure, exposed connecting rod, rocker arms and valve train, the B09 is designed for enthusiasts who enjoy seeing how an engine works — and getting hands-on with the process.
What makes B09 interesting?

B04 — Classic Style, Ready to Run
The B04 takes a very different approach.
Inspired by early 20th-century American farm engines, the B04 features a horizontal single-cylinder layout, large spoke flywheels and exposed mechanical details.
Its vintage appearance is part of the appeal — but so is the convenience.
Unlike the B09 kit, the B04 is designed as a ready-to-run engine, allowing you to spend less time assembling and more time enjoying the engine in operation.
