The engine itself is a work of art, and started easily by hand. It did not come with a base, which was surprising, I had to build a base for it. Delivery was exceptionally slow.

I received this model mostly assembled. The workmanship is beautiful. The model comes with fuel tank and lines and electrical components to finish the model and run it. There were no instructions and I haven't had the time to figure out the wiring and plumbing on my own. I would love it if there were some simple instructions, I am looking forward to running this model.

This comes with no specs, written instructions or safety information. If you’re a steam engine novice, steer clear of this! Mine is just decoration now as it’s too dangerous to experiment blindly with!

I have not put the engine together yet. I was disipointed that there was no assembly manual. I do not like having to down load the manual to assemble the model. I would much rather have something I can hold on to and go back and forth in the manual.
I've never seen such a beautiful beam engine model with a fully working flyball governor, so I absolutely needed to buy this kit. Assembling was easy and great fun. And the little engine runs perfectly even for the first time! This is really a great high quality model that brings so much joy - I would buy it again without hesitation.
