The RW-BL1K steam plant is a quality steam engine and boiler kit, the moment I took the lid of the box I was just like 'WOW'!
Such an enjoyable build, the parts are precision made and comes with all tooling necessary to complete the build.
I received the SE-03 steam engine plant a few weeks and ago and from opening the box I was stunned with its beauty. Now I have to admit I've always been a sucker for a steam engine with a vertical boiler so this steam plant just ticked all the boxes for me.
Absolutely awesome kit and a great lot of fun to put this together. As I mentioned above, it's a stunningly beautiful steam plant with a historical looking antique vertical boiler. I have many hours of running this engine now and it's been total pleasure. I have a lot of steam engines, but this one stands out and visitors (who aren't even enthusiasts over the Christmas/New Years break all commented on it which was very interesting to me.

I am very pleased with the appearance and operation of the SE-01 beam engine kit. It runs very smoothly by itself. I was so impressed with the kit that I immediately ordered the GF-1 mini workshop kit to go with it. Unfortunately, the boiler on the SE-01 kit is not big enough for sustained running of the mini workshop. If you let the pressure build up to its maximum, the workshop will run for about 20 seconds with the steam valve wide open and the governor locked down. I am debating whether to get an SE-03 vertical engine to run the workshop, but I have been unable to find any information about the capacity of the boiler on that kit.
