Operation run:

Holding method:

Use both hands, one hand to hold the front of the car and the other to hold the tender truck. Handle it with care, and avoid fragile parts such as steam pipes and connecting rods when pinching.

Testing:

Before operation, the opening performance of the safety valve and the smoothness of the steam pipeline should be tested.Safety valve opening performance test: Fill the boiler with water, screw the threaded end of the water injection hose into the water injection hole of the boiler, use a needle tube to connect it from the other end and inject water and pressurize it. Pressurize the safety valve hard. If water overflows from the safety valve, the test is qualified. If water overflows to relieve pressure between the steam engine cylinder and the body during this process, the small clip provided can be used to clamp the middle part of the explosive pipe. (How much force must be exerted on the needle to break through the 0.18MPa opening threshold of the safety valve? You can feel it: remove the needle of the needle, extract 10ml of air, seal the outlet with your fingertips and compress the air to 3.5ml. The force used is .)

Check whether the steam pipeline is smooth: drop a drop of cylinder oil at the oil filling hole of the lubricator, block the oil filling hole in the shape of a bead, and push the front of the car forward. If the oil droplets are sucked in, the pipeline is clear, and the explosive pipes connected in series can work. .

In addition, high-pressure pressure relief may occur at the joint between the cylinder and the body of some steam engines.

Add water:

Add distilled water to avoid the formation of scale. Remember; the water injection volume is 14ml. Do not add too much water. Insufficient space in the steam chamber above the boiler will make it difficult to start and run smoothly. The boiler capacity is 19ml. If you are not sure about the remaining water volume, you can fill it up and then pump out 5ml. Do not overtighten the water injection hole screw, as overtightening may damage the sealing gasket.

Add gas:

Add butane gas. (1) When refilling, stand the lighter upside down, align the outlet of the gas bottle and cover the air inlet of the lighter, press hard several times, and hold for about 2 seconds each time; (2) If the gas cannot be filled, it may be caused by the gas in the tank. If air is mixed in, you can use a small screwdriver to point at the air inlet and press down quickly to release the air 1 to 2 times, and then refill the air; (3) After the lighter is replenished with fuel, wait at least 1 minute for the newly filled gas to Adjust the temperature to room temperature, and wait until the residual gas on the surface of the lighter has completely evaporated before igniting it.

Lubrication:

Fill the lubricator with 0.2ml of cylinder oil. Before filling, you must use a needle to draw out the condensation produced in the last operation; do not add too much cylinder oil, as too much will overflow into the boiler; use a glass needle to fill the cylinder oil, the rubber piston of the plastic needle will easily expand and get stuck when exposed to oil. . Do not overtighten the oil filling hole screw, as overtightening may damage the sealing gasket. Use low-viscosity engine oil to lubricate other operating parts. Do not use cylinder oil. Cylinder oil has high viscosity and poor wettability. It easily attracts dust to form sludge and is difficult to clean.

Ignition:

Press the gas tank switch, close the fire lock knob, and use the igniter to ignite the front of the burner. Pay attention to the angle position of the igniter when igniting. To adjust the size of the flame, it is generally appropriate that the length of the blue flame center does not exceed the mouth of the combustion tube, and the flame is stable without jitter. If the temperature is cold in winter, it must be operated indoors with heating or air conditioning. Low temperature can easily lead to insufficient butane vaporization pressure, and the flame can easily jump, flicker, and become unstable. The flame temperature of the direct burner can reach 1300 degrees. If the flame is too large, it can easily cause overspeed and rapid jet injection of the safety valve. If there is water shortage, dry burning for a long time will damage the boiler and accessories. (The boiler is made of copper, with silver brazing process. The inner layer of the insulation layer is cardboard and the outer layer is Teflon sheet.)

Start:

push to start. When to nudge? (1) Observe the safety valve and the steam engine. If there are signs of water or bubbling (this refers to a slight state, not a rapid jet), push it gently to start; (2) After ignition, push the front of the locomotive to make the steam engine cylinder swing to the highest position or The lowest position (this position has the longest work torque of the steam engine and is easiest to drive). After observing the signs of steam engine movement (generally driving to the horizontal dead center position and stopping), lightly push to start. Observe the above two methods simultaneously, and try to start if any signs appear.

Flameout:

Direct burners are not windproof and can be extinguished by applying airflow from the side of the cab. You can blow it out with your mouth, or use a fan, blower, leather tiger, etc. Regarding the selected method, you must try it before running to ensure that you are aware of the need to turn off the engine. It is also emphasized that the boiler should not be dry-fired for a long time. If it slows down or stops significantly during operation, it should be turned off immediately

Maintenance:

After operation, wipe the model clean and dry it; apply a little engine oil to the running part and push it for a few strokes; if it is used as a display ornament, it is best to place it in a dust cover to avoid dust.

Precautions:

1. This model is not suitable for children to operate alone. If children are present, adult supervision is required.

2. The operating site must be kept away from flammable and explosive materials.

3. Before operation, check the opening performance of the safety valve and whether the steam pipeline is smooth.

4. Adjust the size of the flame according to the track condition. Large fires at high speeds can easily lead to derailment when making small turns.

5. Do not place your hands, face and other body parts above the safety valve or chimney after igniting the fire. When gently pushing to start, you can wrap band-aids on your fingertips or wear finger cots, gloves, etc. to protect against scalding.

6. Do not dry-fire the boiler without water; if the boiler slows down significantly during operation, stop the boiler immediately and check whether the boiler is short of water; if the boiler stops for any reason during operation, stop the boiler immediately and then check again. Dry burning without water can easily damage the boiler.
